On Thursday (3 days ago) I squeaked out a 1/2mi barefoot run and it felt great. Really had to take it slow. Still some aches and pains in my left foot, so hopefully with some gentle running I’ll be able to ease myself back in and work my way back up there in mileage.
Sunday: 2.25mi barefoot…felt fantastic!
Wednesday: 3.8mi barefoot. HOT. My feet are not used to running during the heat, it was only 80 degrees. I’ve got some work to do to get them used to hot weather running, or should invest in some huaraches. No blisters, just some rawness and overstimulation near the end of the run. Good to be back though!
