The Burrington Blister

The Burrington Blaster is the third in the Summer Series of runs organised by Town and Country Harriers and the second one I’ve managed to run. http://www.tach.org.uk/races.php

It was a great evening – sunny but breezy on top, and I had a great race.  The uphills are alway hard work but the second stage of this one was really tough but what downhills!  I’m concentrating on keeping my centre of gravity down and accelerating the turn over of my lower leg rather than bounding with longer strides and it seems to be working. I came 8th and 3rd in my age group, so really happy.

The weird thing was that I had a blister on my right heel at the end of it and I’ve never had a blister there before in my life.  Oh well – must be wobbly shoes.
