All those hours to spend in the gym or out on the roads running or cycling; it can just seem too daunting.<\/p>\n<p>Recent research on HIT, or High Intensity Training, has proved that there is such a thing as a shortcut to getting fit. This is great news to anyone who wants to start running, but feels that they are not fit enough. According to the recent work at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) and the University of Birmingham,\u00a0&#8220;The researchers believe that there will be a great future for HIT for obese and elderly individuals and potentially also for patients with hypertension, diabetes and cardiovascular disease&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2>Who else can benefit?<\/h2>\n<p>Anyone can, but given that one of the major obstacles people state for not exercising is time, those who are &#8216;too busy&#8217; to exercise have one less excuse and one more reason to start.
