I managed to get in a 4 mile barefoot run on Tuesday but\u00a0I had a 5k race scheduled for saturday and I know that I’m not quite ready for a true race totally barefoot so I had to cheat. I decided to wear my Vibram Five Fingers for the race on Saturday, instead of being barefoot. In order to make sure I would be ok (I haven’t worn any VFFs or running shoes for about a month) I took out my VFFs for a nice and easy run on Wednesday of about 4 miles. Thursday and Firday I took off, letting my feet recover from the recent weeks of barefoot running, and on Saturday I managed to post a time of 22:16 in my VFFs. Not my fastest time ever, but not bad for VFFs. I finished up the week with a Sunday run, barefoot of 9 miles. Once again, I somehow managed to get a piece of glass stuck in my foot. I guess I’m just unlucky. Not that difficult to get it out, and it didn’t stop my run, but it is annoying.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
So I have to say that this week I cheated.
