A combination of the last 3 weeks milage increase and being out of town convinced me that I was due for a bit less milage. I play in a rock band for a living and the one problem I am seeing is that I have to do runs when I am not on my home turf. In the past, with shoes, this wasn&#8217;t as much as a problem as I would just find a course on Google Maps and run it. Now, it&#8217;s a bit more tricky with road surfaces.<\/p>\n<p>I am hoping that by the summer, it won&#8217;t matter as much, but I am still going to have\u00a0difficulty\u00a0on many roads and neighborhoods that are unfriendly to runners. \u00a0This week I was in Iowa and Chicago and got lucky enough to find some reasonable streets although my traveling kept my milage down a bit which was just fine considering.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I am still riding high but I am considering changing up my &#8220;long run&#8221; day to be more likly to be when I am at home. \u00a0We\u00a0typically\u00a0play wed-sat\/sun and Mon\/Tues become MY weekends. \u00a0Although I haven&#8217;t run a whole lot in my VFF KSO&#8217;s, I \u00a0can do shorter runs in them on uncharted roads while away.<\/p>\n<p>I think this will be more of a play-it-by-ear situation, but I have a lot of weekends out of town in the next 6 months so I might have to do something.<\/p>\n<p>Cheers, Bruno<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I had a much needed &#8220;down&#8221; week this week.
