In order to maintain my best in terms of physical fitness, I have to take a break every now and then. A conglomerate of weeks
Week 2 of running some barefoot miles went well. Minimal soreness in my calves migrated gradually down towards my feet. Out of 22 total miles, 4.4 were barefoot. I keep wiggling my feet (not while I’m running) to see if they look more bony – I’ve always admired bony feet and never had them, and hope the barefoot running will help them look more muscular and bony.

In December I was hospitalized briefly because of a kidney stone. An Xray taken at that time incidentally showed “degenerative changes in the spine, especially L4-5.” I’ve always been aware of the impact of running with heels landing first and always surmised that that impact can’t be easy on the spinal column. Introduction
Well, I almost feel like an imposter here, as I do most of my running on a treadmill and only run a modest number of miles – 22 weekly – and am just starting to run one mile daily barefoot. I do understand that running barefoot on a treadmill can’t compare to running barefoot outside, but it’s a very different experience nonetheless and I’m looking forward to reaping
