I actually wore a different pair of shoes for this run. My Terrocs are getting a bit hammered, and I’m also getting a bit concerned about my Achilles problem that is not getting any better.
So for this 18 miler I used another pair of Inov8 shoes, the Roclite 315. Still very little support or cushioning, but they offer a little more protection in the heel area. Mainly because they are newer and the heel cup is a little more friendly.
Anyway, the run was hard, a mixture of about half and half road and off-road with one very big hill at about 6 miles. I thought about finishing with a couple of miles barefoot, but didn’t want to upset the rhythm of this run. Very tired after, furthest I’ve run for a long time.
