Started the week off with a nice sunny, albeit windy, 6 miler. Run was good, took it very slow for the first 3mi or so running with hubby and kids. Then when we went separate ways, I took off and probably ran faster than I should have. By about 5.5mi my left foot was hurting, ir was on the sides of my foot before my heel. It felt too good to go fast, and I forgot that I’m still not ready for that yet. So I had to walk it off a bit to loosen it up. Was able to jog in the last .25mi and it’s feeling fine now (3hrs later). Other than that, feet felt and now feel fantastic! Wonderful run!
Monday: 2.5mi in socks at the gym, run cut short when a front desk person from the gym approached me and told me I had to put my shoes on. Apparently it’s gym policy to run in shoes on the treadmill, I of course drilled them to find out what I could get away with on the treadmill….so far, anything with a rubber sole:p
Thursday: 13.5mi long run. New route. It was a little chilly heading out, feet almost numbed a bit. Surprisingly, my feet didn’t get raw at all during or after the run. Recovery was very quick. Feet and calves were a bit achy from the distance the next day. Overall, great run! Feet almost felt numbed on the bottom to the different surfaces, the chipseal wasn’t as bothersome.
Saturday: 0.5mi, attempt to run with kids…we made it out about 1/4mi and decided to call it quits. We were all too crabby and cold to stick to it.
