Total weekly miles: 9
Total BF miles: 9
Barefoot Sessions: 3
Terrain: Trails and asphalt, a little bit of the gravel madness.
Weather: Rainy and cool week.
Condition of Feet: Morton’s Toe patches are flaring up again, even with the BF orthotic I have been using. Some aching also in the 4th and 5th metties.
Comments: First comment: ‘Det er tuft å springe barfot!’ ‘It is tough to run barefoot!’
No nastiness.
Changes in Running Style: I think I have let the cadence slip, or maybe I am rolling back onto the forefoot before picking the feet up again. This is not good . Still speedy, but I am trying to find a cruising speed. Slower times this week.
Injuries: Some soreness in the region surrounding the left achilles, but not the tendon itself. Toe patches flaring up. aches in the morning. Not feeling as good as last week.
Wisdom McNuggets: Will focus this next week on ‘tank’ running. This is the type of running where one foot plops gently and flattish. This is how BF Ken Bob runs, as opposed to how Sandler runs, sproingy and gazzelleish.
Splitting the runs up this next week. Rest day between each run. Hoping this will keep the feet fresher.
Nyal, how was the tank running? And those injuries?
