Not relishing the thought of getting drenched whilst running 10 plus miles in the wind and rain, I slathered massage oil on my legs before I went out. Baby oil or Vaseline (petroleum jelly) would’ve been just as good. The result – I didn’t feel the cold on my legs, the water simply ran off my skin, and it was really easy to wipe off the mud afterwards. An added bonus (ladies only – probably) is that your skin is lovely and soft after a post run bath…..
