Started out this week with a night long slow run on Sunday. I decided that I would try for 9 miles in my barefeet even though I did not feel that well (had a festive evening the night before). I went out at a nice 9:30 to 10:00 min per mile pace and generally had very few issues. I got my first heckler (well, maybe not a heckler, was just some girl leaning out of a car to yell ‘I like your shoes!’), and managed to complete a little over 10 miles totally barefoot. I focused on lifting my feet and working on a quick cadence. I did have to make one stop around mile 6 due to some “issues” (thank god for the Plano Parks department and their locked down TP) but after that I was good. Hoping for a great week of barefoot running.
