I started this week happy from my success in completing a 5k earlier than my race next week. I was also excited because out of the gates, the week was looking to be warmer and that lifted my spirits. My first run was just about perfect but I noticed at the end that my right calf was a bit more sore. I couldn’t quite put a finger on what caused it but it seemed to be a glaring problem
Week 7: 3.1 Miles and Chi Running
I had the entire week off (not the best time for a stay at home vacation) but I used it wisely as it pertained to my running. This week I really focussed on my stretching, exercises and I bought the book Chi Running. Now I know that nothing is the end all be all and everyone is different, but I belive this book (and technique) have a lot to offer.

Week 3: Ouches to Oooohs
3 more runs this week. .89, 1, and 1.13 miles. 2 miles total all Barefoot.
This week was full of ouches and tip toeing around debris everywhere in the road. I was a little upset with my performance in the first 2 runs, but had a “break out” run on Friday that had to be celebrated with 1 or 7 beers that night at a local watering hole.
