Back to barefoot
After a very long layoff from barefoot running, and quite a break from running in general, I’ve now managed to get back on track.

The Stick
Once a year we compete an a hundred mile relay; 18 legs, 6 runners, 3 legs each of about 5.5 miles on average.
It’s called the South Downs Way Relay. The route is off-road, very hilly and equates to 3 cross country races in a day with 2-3 hours rest between each.
It’s always a challenge to eat, re-hydrate, and generally get the body back into condition for the 2nd and especially the 3rd

i had the severe aches last night from some hard climbing and realy wasnt looking forward to my morning run. then i thought about doing it in my VFFs and suddenly I was looking forward to it , weird i know but I dont think I can dread it the same way as I sometimes do with trainers on. anyway this morning i was up at 6 after little sleep from the baby and off i went 7.30 pace all the way loved
